The Houston Chronicle is running a standard draft article outlining the Cowboys strategy. They hit all the potential needs and bring up the subject of getting a young QB, make that a Young QB. Here's Jerry Jones on Vince Young.
"It'd be real interesting, wouldn't it?" Jones said. "There's no doubt in my mind that when the opportunity comes for him to win it or make the play, he's maybe the best that's come through in a long time to actually do what you're paying for, and that's playing football at a position to win a game.
"He does turn it on, notch it up. There's no doubt about that. You've got to factor that in with all the other stuff. He's got the size, the athleticism, and boy, has he played in big games and won big games."
Of course, Vince Young will be gone by the time Dallas picks and they won't be moving up to draft him. If Drew Henson continues to improve in NFLE, the Cowboys may not feel the need to draft someone like Charlie Whitehurst in the 3rd round, though. I hope that's the case so we can use the pick on someone that will help us this year.
Scott Knudsen over at the Ranch Report has long article about possible draft day scenarios for Dallas. This one is free so go over and take a look.
