Nick Eatman continues his series of articles on each position by tackling the offensive tackles today. The Cowboys have at least addressed the situation to a point by signing Jason Fabini to pair with the returning-from-injury starter Flozell Adams. But they could still go after a tackle in the draft.
Auburn's Marcus McNeill might just be the biggest tackle in the draft, especially among the elite players. At 6-7, 332, McNeill is a mauler who has been overpowering opponents in college.
Miami's Eric Winston also stands 6-7, and although he's not quite as heavy as McNeill, he might have the best feet of all the tackles in the draft. Winston played tight end early in his college career, so obviously he is much more mobile than your average tackle.
If Justice slides I think Dallas will take him. Marcus McNeil is a talented tackle who didn't allow a sack in his last 41 games at Auburn, that's pretty impressive. His draft status is anywhere from mid-first round to early second round. Eric Winston was a hot prospect early but has seen his stock drop a bit in the past months.
Rick Gosselin has a nice breakdown of linemen in the draft. Gosselin is really good at evaluating talent and predicting the draft so it's worth the time to read his opinions.
Over on ESPN they are running a mock draft where the fans vote on who they think each team will pick. The Dallas pick is up and it's Eric Winston. You can see the mock draft here.
