Cowboys article roundup

The RanchReport reports (sub. required) another linebacker private workout.

Looking for additional help at linebacker, the Dallas Cowboys recently held a private workout with Tennessee LB Kevin Simon, TheRanchReport.com has learned.

[snip]

Simon is one of a handful of linebackers that have gone through a private workout with the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas has also taken a close look at LB Gerris Wilkinson (Georgia Tech), LB Jon Alston (Stanford), LB Ernie Sims (Florida State) and LB Bobby Iwuchukwu (Purdue).

Kevin Simon has had a history of injury at Tennessee, enough to scare me. Regular readers know I graduated from Georgia Tech, so I know a lot about LB Gerris Wilkinson. I love the guy, he consistently made big plays at GT, and I would love to see Dallas pick him up in the 3rd-4th round.

This Q&A with HOF inductee Rayfield Wright is from a few days ago, but if you haven't read it, go ahead and read it. Wright is one classy dude.

Not specifically Cowboys news, but the NFL finally got smart and put in place a flexible TV coverage schedule.

The league plans to hold off scheduling Sunday night games in seven of the final eight weeks - just as playoff races start heating up - to ensure the best games are played on NBC. The league has long wanted some kind of flexible scheduling, but could never implement one until now.
