Cowboys 2006 training camp dates

The Cowboys give out the 411 on training camp. See you guys out there if you're going.

(Hat tip to Terry for posting the news)

...the team officially announced the start and end dates for the 3½-week camp on Tuesday, announcing the Cowboys will depart for Oxnard on July 27. The Cowboys will arrive on that Thursday and hold an opening press conference with owner and general manager Jerry Jones and head coach Bill Parcells on Friday, July 28, before the team's first practice on Saturday.

In a schedule similar to last season, the Cowboys will have more than three full weeks of training camp in Oxnard before breaking camp on Aug. 20. The team will fly from California to Shreveport, La., where the Cowboys will play the New Orleans Saints for their second preseason game on Monday, Aug. 21, on ESPN.

That will be considered the Cowboys' second road game of the preseason after playing in Seattle on Aug. 12. Following the game in Shreveport, the Cowboys will play their final two preseason games at Texas Stadium - against San Francisco (Aug. 26) and Minnesota (Aug. 31).

Also included in the article are a few facts about our players in NFLE.

*    WR Tom Crowder, who's been playing with the Frankfurt Galaxy, fractured his jaw in the game last week and will probably miss the mini-camp on June 2-4. He should be back for training camp.
*    Drew Henson is listed as questionable for this week, a game Rhein has to win. If they win and Frankfurt loses, Rhein will go to the World Bowl.
*    CB Lenny Williams, another Frankfurt player, is having a good season: three interceptions, 30 tackles and has a team-high 11 pass deflections.
