T.O. shows up late, kid makes him pay

Terrell Owens' football camp for kids started yesterday without T.O. Covered in separate stories by the DMN and the DFW S-T, the kids waited all day for Owens to arrive. Fortunately, Owens wasn't just messing around and forgot that he actually had a kid's football camp going on, he was taking care of his real duties - attending practice with the Dallas Cowboys. So while the kids and parents were getting a little ticked-off at his absence, Owens knew it was better to make a few kids angry than to upset the Tuna. Once he was done at Valley Ranch, he headed on over to the camp and all was forgiven.

Owens talked to the kids and threw them passes, which caused the absolute best punch-line from a kid in modern history.

Imagine this: T.O. becomes mildly frustrated that QBs can't get the ball to receivers and starts throwing himself.

"Have y'all ever seen a better QB?" he asks.

"Donovan McNabb," says one kid, giggling.

Silence.

Ouch!

Akin Ayodele is coming home to play football. The starting WILB is expected to be a tackling machine in Big D. Nick Eatman has the story.

"Man, it's like a dream come true," Ayodele said this past weekend. "I've always dreamed of playing for the Cowboys. I've lived so close for so long. And you wonder if it's ever going to happen. But I'm here and I'm so excited. I can't wait to get started."
