Good safety bad safety?

Safety Roy Williams will be recognized on TV for his work in the community.

Cowboys safety Roy Williams will be among 10 NFL players to receive a JB Award, given by CBS Sports host James Brown during a feature that will air Saturday on CBS from 3-4 p.m. (CDT).

Williams, a three-time Pro Bowler who is one of the Cowboys' most active players in the community, will be among nine other NFL players to receive a coveted JB Award.

Count Roy Williams as one of the good guys in the NFL. In that respect, he's definitely not overrated.

Mickey Spags joins the "I'd like to hear more" camp in regard to the Keith Davis shooting. Again, he's not saying Davis is guilty of anything in the incident, but he recognizes that the story as a whole has some holes. He also would like to hear some Cowboys officials go on record with their thoughts. My guess is he will, on July 27th when Jerry and Bill hold that first press conference at training camp.

From the article:

So . . . but wouldn't you like to hear something? Anything? Just to dilute the innate skepticism in all of us? Come on, you arched an eyebrow when this happened, don't fool me.

On the other hand, unless there is something physically wrong with Davis or the DPD implicates him in something shady, it's highly doubtful Parcells would make an example out of Davis again. And I've got 1.2 million reasons why not.
