Combine open thread

Starting at 11 o'clock the glamour boys take the field in Indianapolis - QB, RB and WR.

Sunday, Feb. 25
11 a.m. ET: Workouts: Quarterbacks, Running Backs and Wide Receivers (LIVE) (repeats at 4 & 8 p.m.)
2 p.m. ET: 2007 Scouting Combine Press Conferences (LIVE)
7 p.m. ET/PT: NFL Total Access at the Scouting Combine (LIVE)

Among the linemen, I thought Justin Blalock was an impressive combination of strength, size and agility. They also said he was a smart guy, so add that to the list. I didn't get to see enough of Ben Grubbs and Aaron Sears was hurt.

This is an open thread.

Update [2007-2-25 11:42:32 by Grizz]: They keep showing this Joey Porter commercial on the NFL Network. For those of you with the NFL Network, you know what I’m talking about. For those who don’t have it the commercial goes like this: Joey Porter comes on the screen and says in the 1999 draft, he was sure the Dallas Cowboys were going to take him with the 52nd pick. Jerry Jones had wined and dined him and his family and he thought it was a sure thing. Instead, they passed on him and Pittsburgh took him with the 73rd pick.

So that got me wondering, who did we take with that pick?

55 | Dallas | Solomon Page | G | West Virginia

Nice. That worked out well.

I thought maybe we got someone else too, because Porter says the 52nd pick when it was actually the 55th pick. I was hoping we traded down and picked up someone else, but I could find no evidence of that. Porter must’ve remembered the wrong pick. At least we picked Dat Nguyen with the 85th pick.
