I wrote yesterday that I hoped the Dallas Cowboys would do something meaningful in respect to the Crazy Ray Memorial Service. Well, they stepped-up big time.
The Cowboys will host a public memorial service for Wilford "Crazy Ray" Jones on Saturday. The service will begin at 10 a.m. in the Stadium Club at Texas Stadium.
The Texas Stadium parking lot will open at 9 a.m. Fans are asked to enter the parking lot located at the Gate 1 parking entrance. Admission to the Stadium Club will be accessible at Gate 10, next to the statue of Coach Tom Landry.
The team also announced that Crazy Ray will be honored at a 2007 home game. A tribute to the team's most famous fan will be presented, and the organization will honor his wife Mattie in an on-field ceremony.
Say what you want about Jerry Jones as a GM, but he really takes care of people that are associated with the Cowboys organization. Way to go Jerry, you show a lot of class.
