Adam Schefter has the details on the Brad Johnson signing.
The Dallas Cowboys reached agreement Monday night with free agent quarterback Brad Johnson on a three-year, $7.5 million deal. Johnson will be reunited with Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, his former teammate in Tampa Bay.
I got no problems with this deal. Brad Johnson is nothing if not reliable. Sure, he can't put a team on his shoulders and take them anywhere, but he can step in for a short stretch of games and keep the ship afloat. He's buddies with Jason Garrett and has a ton of knowledge he can pass on to Tony Romo. And he seems like the kind of guy who will go out of his way to help Romo and the team, he knows he's the backup, and he'll handle that like a professional.
