The Cowboys re-signed two exclusive rights free agents safety Abram Elam and Montavious Stanley to one-year deals worth $360,000 on Tuesday.
Elam was one of the better finds last year as an unknown free agent pickup after a tryout with Miami in 2005 ended. He led the Cowboys with 11 solo tackles on special teams, finishing fourth overall with 15 stops.
Stanley, a sixth-round pick last year, was a late cut in training camp but was claimed off waivers from Jacksonville on Nov. 16. He did not play in a game. At 6-2, 313 pounds, he is the only true backup nose tackle behind starter Jason Ferguson.
