Cowboys to workout veteran RB

Trung Canidate is coming to Valley Ranch for a workout. Hmm... while I find the candidate completely uninspiring, the fact that the Cowboys are bringing in a marginal veteran for a workout at RB is interesting.

The Cowboys plan to bring in former St. Louis Rams running back Trung Canidate today for a workout Thursday.
Canidate, drafted 31st overall by the Rams in 2000, has been out of football since 2003 because of a foot injury.

He is now healthy and trying to make a comeback. According to a source, the Cowboys view his workout as more of a look-see, but if Canidate is impressive he could get an invitation to training camp.

The 5-foot-11, 212-pound Canidate has recently been timed in the 4.4-second range in the 40-yard dash.

Does this say anything about anything? Perhaps the possibility of having Julius on the trade block? Just a camp body if they like him? Not sure.

Keyshawn gives his opinion on who the Cowboys should draft. He wants us to pick a WR and likes Dwayne Bowe or Dwayne Jarrett, or he says we should pick a CB because of Aaron Glenn’s age and Anthony Henry should play safety in the future. He likes Leon Hall, but he probably won’t be there when we pick. He likes Aaron Ross, but is worried about his propensity to gamble on passes – which is actually his biggest negative – not that he can’t cover man-to-man, which he can. But the guy he really likes is Chris Houston. He must've been talking to Deion.
