The Cowboys signed QB Brock Berlin.
On Monday, owner Jerry Jones said the team could take a quarterback in this weekend's draft, perhaps in the early rounds, but on Wednesday the Cowboys signed quarterback Brock Berlin.
Berlin worked out for the team last month and is a favorite of new offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, who worked with Berlin for two years in Miami. Berlin was cut twice by the Dolphins in training camp.
Camp body. If the Cowboys draft a QB, then either Berlin or Matt Baker would have to go. You only need four at camp at most.

Jerry Jones chatted away on Talkin’ Cowboys today. You can listen to it here. Jones said he loves the offseason Leonard Davis is having, said a rookie safety coming and being the QB of the defense would be difficult, that’s why signing Ken Hamlin was crucial. He also discussed moving up again, even saying for certain players you would give up your 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks to get up in the top of the round. He sounds very serious. He also discussed using consultants for scouting outside of the organization, and said he doesn’t spend millions on scouting if he wasn’t going to listen to them, but he does like to get some outside independent views.
