Cowboys officially set training camp dates

The Cowboys have officially set the dates for training camp. Apparently this is news, even though I reported these dates back on April 7th in this article.

But here’s the official announcement as relayed by the DFW S-T.

The Cowboys' training camp is scheduled July 25-Aug. 8 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The team reports July 24 and its first practice will be July 25.

Owner Jerry Jones and new coach Wade Phillips are tentatively scheduled to host their opening day news conference at the Alamodome on July 24.

Training camp ends Aug. 8.

The Cowboys begin preseason play on Thursday, Aug. 9, against the defending Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts at Texas Stadium. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
