Broncos unable to cope.

Apparently the Broncos are a little sore about the butt whoopin/ they received last night at the hands of our Dallas Cowboys.

The Denver Post takes on the conspiracy theory here.

I really don't get this, and this has just come out of nowhere.  I don't think I have ever heard of a team complaining like this after a preseason game.

From the Denver post:

Although an honest beating explained much of the outcome, the Broncos wondered if Cowboys coach Wade Phillips got a little carried away with trying to send some sort of preseason statement.

"I don't know if Wade's (ticked) off the Broncos fired him, but it sure looked that way," Broncos safety John Lynch said.

Lynch wanted to make it clear he was joking.

Lynch then expanded upon his theory later in the article:

"They came out and game- planned us, blitzing every play. They came after us. It's no excuse for the way we played. But I think they might have broken the code of ethics for the preseason."

Although an honest beating explained much of the outcome, the Broncos wondered if Cowboys coach Wade Phillips got a little carried away with trying to send some sort of preseason statement.

Wade Phillips was brought in here to revamp the defense and unleash the hounds, and to do that he has to use the PRESEASON GAMES to practice and see his schemes in a game.  Is this not what the preseason is for?

The Broncos are a little upset that their already banged up team walked into Dallas and walked out even more bruised.  My only question is whether Mike Shanahan all of a sudden decided not to throw in his cut-block scheme during the game.  (He did not.)
