Rookie Deon Anderson has overcome a lot

I’ve commented on the tough times in the life of rookie FB Deon Anderson before getting drafted by the Cowboys. That was just a surface look, Todd Archer goes much deeper into his past. It’s a good read.

They’re talking tight ends over at DC.com. Right now, I don’t think it’s a question of the order of the tight ends, more the question of how many do they keep. I have them listed this way:

Jason Witten
Anthony Fasano
Tony Curtis
Adam Bergen
Rodney Hannah

Hannah is practice squad material, if anything. Curtis looks to be the 3rd TE, so the real question is can Adam Bergen show enough over the final couple of weeks of preseason to justify sticking around as a 4th TE. Right now, I’m inclined to say no, but he still has time to impress.

What’s the Tuna been up to recently? Well, besides doing some TV for ESPN, you know where you can find him - at the racetrack. So as long as he’s going to hang out there, he might as well get paid to do it!

Update [2007-8-21 15:39:28 by Dave Halprin (Grizz)]: The DMN blog reports that both Anthony Fasano and Jason Hatcher are practicing. Can I get an amen?!
