The Cowboys are on the verge of returning to Oxnard for training camp.
A deal to hold the 2008 Cowboys training camp in Oxnard, Calif., is close to being finalized, a source said.
Along with the trip west, the Cowboys also plan to travel to Denver for a couple of days of training-camp practices with the Broncos.
ESPN Insider has a look at the Cowboys offseason needs. For those who don’t have Insider, I’ll break it down in brief terms.
- We need to re-sign Ken Hamlin, badly.
- Jacques Reeves gets picked on so we need another corner and we should use one of our 1st-round picks on a corner.
- Julius Jones is gone so we need to add a fast, elusive back to complement Marion Barber’s new featured role.
- We need to get younger at wide receiver.
- The Flozell Adams is a tricky situation (I think they read my post) and that Doug Free has potential but no experience if it comes to that.
