Cowboys FanPost Of The Week: Head Coach University

Yes, BTBers, its time once again for our weekly installment of FanPost of the Week. And, for the first time since we instituted this esteemed award, we have a repeat winner. Perhaps inspired by receiving the coveted FPOTW award for his first-ever post, G_SWAG has embarked upon a FanPost frenzy in recent weeks, authoring a plethora of well-reasoned, intelligent and copious takes. This week, he adds a heapin' helpin' of humor to his usual recipe: his clever post on "H.C.U." offers up a report card for week one of the Jason Garrett administration. Professor Swag bestows grades in a variety of categories (sideline presence, dealing with insubordination, instituting a dress code) and then, tongue planted firmly in cheek, gives Garrett guidelines for earning extra credit points in future.

Swag doesn't get caught up in the hype surrounding the Cowboys upset win in New York; instead, he remains objective, doling out fair marks. Garrett earns top marks (A+) for instituting a travel dress code and for gaining the support of the players in the locker room; his poise when dealing with the press earns an "A." In what area does Garrett's performance leave the most room for improvement? According to Swag, its in his dealing with Marion Barber's dress code violation; Professor S would also like to see RHG dip a little deeper into the depth chart, giving guys like Tashard Choice more playing time. As a result, Garrett receives a "B" in these categories.

My favorite bit? Swag's painfully accurate photo essay delineating Wade Phillips' various sideline expressions. Classic, must-see stuff.

Check out the rest of Swag's post here--and stop by to read all of his stuff when you get a chance. It's required reading. And, yes, it will be on the test.
