The Dallas Cowboys are waiting for the Detroit Lions on Sunday, 1:00 pm EST in Cowboys Stadium. The Lions are looking to end a 25-game road losing streak. Todd Archer from the DMN notes that their away losing streak extends all the way back to 2007 and that the last time the Lions won on the road, both Jon Kitna and Roy Williams were playing for the Lions.
The BTB panel this week is once again unanimous in picking the Cowboys to win. A Cowboys win would make Jason Garrett only the third interim head coach in the NFL to win his first two games since 2000 (Gary Moeller - Lions, 2000; Jim Haslett - Rams, 2008). Overall, our Panel has 11 of 16 games as unanimous picks. Other notable unanimous picks are the Titans over the Redskins and the Packers over the Vikings. Rabblerousr is the only one who likes the Giants over the Eagles.
Finally, a little factoid that may interest only me: The Cowboys have seven players with one interception each. Along with the Bills and the Broncos, the Cowboys are the only team left in the NFL that doesn't have a single defender with more than one interception. Will the Cowboys remain an equal opportunity defense on Sunday or will they get all biblical on the Lions?
All our weekly picks after the break.
