Tim McMahon from ESPNDallas reports that Paul Pasqualonis is leaving the Cowboys to coach UConn.
The Boston Globe reports that Connecticut has decided to hire Paul Pasqualoni as its head coach.
The Hartford Courant is reporting that Connecticut has scheduled a news conference for Friday to introduce Pasqualoni.
Pasqualoni was one option for Jason Garrett to take over the defensive coordinator position for the Cowboys. In addition to Pasqualoni, Vic Fangio and Greg Manusky emerged as candidates for the job. Both were interviewed this week, but both look likely to end up elsewhere.
This morning, the Dallas Morning News added another name to the mix, Steelers secondary coach Ray Horton. Horton played for the Cowboys from 1989-92, and has coached one of the best secondaries in the league for the last four years. Horton may become an option as of Monday, depending on the outcome of the weekend's playoff games - as may multiple other 3-4 assistants whose season could end on Sunday.
