Dallas Cowboys Tidbits: Ray Sherman Won't Be Back, More Coaching News And Rumors

With the playoffs now in full swing, we are reminded that there is a lot of work ahead of Jason Garrett and the Dallas Cowboys. Here's a quick rundown of the latest Cowboys news.

  • Ray Sherman will not be returning to the staff in 2011 according to this report by Calvin Watkins.
  • We may lose John Garrett to Miami, as a possible new O-Coordinator, says Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News
  • Todd Bowles is still the likely choice as a new defensive coordinator, but according to Michael Lombardi, Mike Nolan is the guy Jason Garrett really wants. Since a move like that would be lateral, it's unlikely to happen.
  • Nnamdi Asomugha is going to be an unrestricted free agent, according to espn.com here. Now there's a move that upgrades the entire secondary in one swoop- not sure we can afford him though.
