Week 11 is rivalry week in the NFC East.
The Cowboys travel to Washington and hope to extend their win streak to three consecutive games, the first time they would achieve that since the last three games of the 2009 season. A win at Washington would also move the Cowboys to two games above .500 for the first time since 2009. For what it's worth, the Cowboys are one of only three away teams favored this week and Vegas likes the Cowboys by 7.5 points.
The Eagles travel to New York where the Giants hope to maintain their one-game lead over the Cowboys. The Eagles, like the Redskins, know that this is it: Since the current playoff format was instituted in 1990, only three clubs with a 3-6 record after nine games have made the playoffs (NE '94, DET '95, JAC '96). Lose this week and their fanbases can start focusing on the draft.
After the break, see which teams the BTB writers are picking for week 11.
Week 10 was an interesting week for our panel. Kegbearer and Tom made up significant (and much needed) ground with double-digit win totals. The five-win difference between last week's winner Kegbearer on the one hand and last week's ... ahem ... non-winners Brandon, David and Kegbearer on the other is the second biggest difference we've had this year. The biggest? Week 2, when KD picked only 7 correct games and almost everybody else picked 13. Add those six missing wins to KDs total, and we'd have a very tight race here at BTB.
For second place :-)
Here are our week 11, 2011 picks:
