As the NFL enters Week 12, there are 22 teams within two games of a playoff spot. With six weeks left to play, nothing has been decided yet.
"Stacking wins together is what good teams do this time of year," Tony Romo said, echoing Jason Garrett word-for-word. "You need to put yourself in position for the stretch run. It’s been big to win these past three games. It’s going to keep on getting bigger every game." The Cowboys will be looking for their first four-game winning streak since they won seven straight in 2007.
The weekend kicks off early with a tasty Thanksgiving tripleheader. For the sixth consecutive year, the NFL has scheduled a tripleheader as the traditional competitors Detroit and Dallas host the Packers and Dolphins during the day followed by a primetime matchup between the 49ers and Ravens. And if the season so far is anything to go by, it promises to be an exciting day. Not only are the six teams playing Thanksgiving Day a combined 42-18 (.700), best since 1975 (28-12, .700), but over the season so far, 79 games have been decided by 7 points or fewer, the 2nd-most at this point in NFL history (81, 1988).
Here's wishing this Thanksgiving will find you, your family and your friends with many reasons to give thanks.
