New York Giants safety Kenny Phillips did not make the trip to Dallas today, and he has been officially downgraded to "Out" for the game, ESPN New York reports.
Phillips suffered a sprained MCL on his left knee during last week's loss to the Packers. He had been listed as "Doubtful" on Friday's injury report. The left knee is also the Knee Phillips underwent microfracture surgery on two years ago. It is expected that vetaran safety Deon Grant will take his place.
Phillips heads the long list of Giants who'll be out on Sunday night: C David Baas (neck, headaches), LB Mark Herzlich (ankle), LB Spencer Paysinger (hamstring) and DE Osi Umenyiora (ankle, knee) all stayed in New York.
For Dallas, only Jon Kitna (back), Josh Price-Brent (knee) and newly promoted wide receiver Andre Holmes (hamstring) are confirmed as out for the game.
Martellus Bennett (ribs) and Danny McCray are doubtful. Special teams demon McCray participated in today's walkthrough session and is a game-time decision. McCray said he would work out before the game to see if he could play after suffering his third high ankle sprain last week.
