Back in May of last year, the Vegas sports books had the Cowboys down as 10/1 favorites to win the 2011 Super Bowl. We all know how that turned out.
After a 6-10 season, you would think that the odds of the Cowboys winning the next Super Bowl in 2012 would have declined drastically. As it turns out, that depends on your definition of 'drastic'.
Sportsbook.com has the Cowboys at 18/1 to win the 2012 Super Bowl. That translates into a 5.6% chance to win the Super Bowl, which is ties the Cowboys for the 11th best odds in the league with the Colts and the Bears. Last year they were tied for the fifth best odds with the Packers and Vikings.
Not quite unsurprisingly, the Eagles and Giants have better odds than the Cowboys to win it all in 2012, meaning Vegas likes the Cowboys to finish third in the division. The full odds for all NFL teams after the break.
