Even though nobody has a clue if, when and how a 2011 season will be played, Michael Fabiano at NFL.com has released his very early 2011 fantasy football rankings.
Jason Witten is the Cowboys' best fantasy option, coming in at the No. 3 tight end position. Tony Romo comes in at No. 7 on the QB list, which should make him a starter in most fantasy leagues.
In fantasy-land, Romo is spoiled for riches at the receiver position. Somewhat surprisingly, Dez Bryant at No. 16 is slightly ahead of Miles Austin at No. 18, but the Cowboys, along with the Eagles, are the only team with two receivers in the top 20 fantasy receiver list. Roy Williams is way off the grid at No. 63.
The situation is a little more dicey at running back. Felix Jones ranks as the No. 26 running back, which will likely make him no more than a third running back or flex option in most leagues. But if the Cowboys somehow manage to fix their O-line, Jones might quickly move up in value. Tashard Choice comes in at No. 47, Marion Barber is an afterthought at No. 58.
Coming off a franchise record number of points allowed, it is perhaps a bit surprising to see the Cowboys defense ranked 12th, but that may just be the Rob Ryan bonus kicking in already.
