Cowboys Receiver Dez Bryant Needs The Home Shopping Network, Sued Over Jewelry Debt

It seems that the Dallas Cowboys talented receiver, Dez Bryant, likes himself some bling. That should be obvious to anyone that has seen the meteor like studs he wears in both of his ears. Either the company  Dez is dealing with jacked their prices up a few notches as part of a pay as you go plan, or Dez is in serious need of financial counseling or both. Bryant apparently purchased over $267,000 worth of jewelry from A+A Diamonds LTD d/b/a Rafaello & Company, a jeweler that makes high-end jewelry for celebrities and athletes. According to a civil suit filed this past Friday, Bryant has only paid $21,000 towards that amount. According to the paperwork, the two sides have been unable to reach a settlement, and it isn't currently clear what Bryant's position is on why he hasn't paid it.

According to the DMN report, this is over between eight to ten pieces of custom made jewelry. On the heels of last week's pants-gate, I think it's safe to say that Dez would be much better served if he shopped from home, using established lines of credit. I know you probably can't get your custom made pieces, but I've seen some nice trinkets he can even get in his gemstone.

In reality though, this is a bit disturbing for someone who seems to be becoming the poster boy for off-field nuisances. As is always the case, you wait to hear both sides of the story before making a judgement decision, and I will here as well. Regardless, I'd much rather Bryant not be in these kinds of headlines.

Hat tip to Jimmy K for the fanshot, not that he's been begging for a one-up on Jason Peters or anything.
