We continue our mock draft exercise with picks five through eight. With the Cowboys picking ninth, this post presents an opportunity to ponder what Dallas will do with eight known picks in front of them. Here's how the next four, and first eight selections overall went down.

Don't forget to answer the poll as to which writer you feel made the best two decisions in each post, and use the comments to discuss your take on the individual picks you liked or disliked. New additions are highlighted in yellow.

Team Needs (per Drafttek.com)

Team 2010 Record Team Needs
Carolina (2-14) 4-3 DT, 4-3 DE, WR1, WR2, WR3, CB
Denver (4-12) 4-3 DT, 4-3 DE, FS, SS, 4-3 OLB, 4-3 ILB, TE, ROT
Buffalo (4-12) Everything except RB and WR, Kitchen Sink
Cincinatti (4-12) QB, 4-3 DT, WR, 4-3 DE, FS, 4-3 MLB, OG, OC
Arizona (5-11) QB, 3-4 OLB, CB, OG, LOT
Cleveland (5-11) 4-3 DE, 4-3 OLB, 4-3 MLB, WR, FS, CB
San Francisco (6-10) 3-4 DT, 3-4 OLB, CB, OC, QB
Tennesee (6-10) QB, CB, 4-3 DE, 4-3 OLB, 4-3 MLB

KD's Pick:

Arizona: Missouri QB Blaine Gabbert. I can't see Arizona not going QB here if Gabbert is still available. There's a chance they go Von Miller if Gabbert is gone to Buffalo or Cincy. The other pressing needs can't be met right here with CB Peterson off the board. Ken Wisenhunt needs a signal caller in the worst way and picks the strong armed Big 12 QB.

Dave's Pick:

Tennessee: Georgia WR A.J. Green. There are positions the Titans may need more, like QB, but I'm not a believer in Cam Newton, and neither is Jimmy over at Music City Miracles. With the draft unfolding like it has here, my initial thought was there is no way the Titans could pass on a talent like A.J. Green, who I thought would go earlier, along with many experts. Don't be fooled by a middling showing at the Combine, Green is a superior talent at WR and dominated games for Georgia. The Titans have struggled at WR for years, and an aging and disinterested Randy Moss, plus a brittle Kenny Britt, probably isn't the long-term solution. My thoughts were confirmed when I showed our mock to Jimmy at Music City Miracles, he immediately said "A.J. Green, no question."

Rabble's Pick:

Texas A&M LB Von Miller.Cleveland needs playmakers to make its 3-4 work; I felt that the two best players on the board who fit that criteria were Von Miller and Robert Quinn. After some consideration, I went with the more natural pass rusher and explosive playmaker.
