A little over a week ago, Cowboys center Andre Gurode appeared on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas and in response to Dez Bryant's recent troubles said that the team would be there for Bryant, if he wants it.
The DMN provided a transcript of what Gurode said:
"I think we will approach him as a group and we all want the best for Dez and we all will reach out or have reached out to try to get in contact with him and tell him that this is a situation you’re going through and we want you to get through it and get over it. If you need any help call us and we’ll definitely sit down and talk to you."
Today, it looks like Bryant reacted positively to his teammates reaching out to him. That’s a very good decision for last year's number one pick who has generated headlines recently for some not so good decisions. As first reported by Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas, Dez Bryant tweeted yesterday that he had dinner with Tony Romo, Keith Brooking and Andre Gurode:
