With all the publicity-inducing leaks that occurred last week, a glimmer of hope has been shot into NFL fanbases everywhere. Late June normally signals a month long countdown to the opening of training camp. My enthusiasm for anything newsworthy will prevent me, for now, from casting a doubtful eye on the leaks of progress amidst reports from other factions saying that a deal may not be as close as reported. Still, new news is good news, and with that in mind, let's take a look at some recent news affecting the Cowboys 2011 season.

-- Dez Bryant recently appeared at a charity basketball event. -- Quarterback Tony Romo continued with his golfing exploits, this time participating in Ray Fischer's event in his home state of Wisconsin. [DMN]
-- Finally, The Mothership's Josh Ellis recently compiled a list of the top 10 Dallas Cowboys personalities. There are some tough choices to be made here, as the Cowboys have had their share and a couple other teams worth of flamboyant personalities. Terrell Owens, he of the possible career ending ACL injury, ranks 2nd. If you want to see the entire list head on over.
