If you happened to doze off during the early games on Sunday, chances are when you woke up, you briefly thought you were in a parallel universe - where you were watching completely different games, but with the same teams - because all eight early games had a fourth quarter comeback.
The Steelers added another comeback later in the day, as did the Cowboys on Monday night to bring the total to 10 games with a fourth quarter comeback. 11 games finished with a score differential of less than a touchdown. How are you supposed to pick winners in a league where games are this close?
Sunday was an up-and-down affair for our BTB pick 'em panel as well. At one point late in the fourth quarter of the early games, KD was 8-for-8. Minutes later he had dipped to 4-for-8 before moving up one rung to 5-for-8 when the early games ended.
Having said all that, after the break we take a stab at predicting this weekend's game outcomes. And with no divisional games on the schedule for the NFC East, what are the chances the East goes 4-0? The panel thinks it's possible.
Despite the close games, the BTB panel did okay last week. The consensus was a solid 11-5 and none of our panelists were awful.
