The Dallas Cowboys absolutely dominated the Baltimore Ravens on the ground in their Sunday game. Dallas ended the game with 227 yards rushing on 42 attempts. That's a very healthy 5.4 yards per attempt. Lead back DeMarco Murray had 93 yards on 14 attempts for an average of 6.6 yards per carry. Felix Jones finally put in a decent effort for 2012, and backups Phillip Tanner and Lance Dunbar also got into the action.
Unfortunately, Murray had to leave the game with a foot injury. While it's not expected to be of the season-ending variety, it might be ligament damage.
The Cowboys fear running back DeMarco Murray suffered ligament damage in his foot but not a season-ending Lisfranc injury, according to sources.
Also from those sources, the idea that Murray is already basically ruled out for this
According to a source, demarco Murray will not play against panthers. Still waiting MRI results on sprained foot. But a no go sunday

That's a real shame. Of all the things the Cowboys did over the bye, it looks like sorting out their running game was the most effective. The offensive line did its job, and the backs followed. Murray was looking especially dangerous in that game. I guess the one sliver of good news is that Felix Jones finally showed up. He had 92 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown.
It looks like he's about to get an expanded role in the short-term, with Tanner and Dunbar probably seeing more action, too.
