The NFL enters the final month of the regular season with five games remaining for teams to lock up their playoff berths. Division leaders will have to protect their lead and contenders can't afford to drop any more games.
This is the time of year where playoff contenders have to start playing their best ball to remain in the hunt.
Five teams (Atlanta, Baltimore, Denver, Houston and New England) can lock up a playoff berth this week. But four of those teams will have to do it against fellow playoff contenders (Only Houston plays a 'non-contender' in the at 4-7 Titans). There's a lot of football left to be played, and the teams that show up now will be the teams we'll watch in the playoffs.
Our panel this week is unanimous in picking the Cowboys against the Eagles, and if that turns out to be a correct assessment, the Cowboys should at least maintain their outside chance at a playoff spot, especially since the panel is also picking the Redskins over the Giants. And without further ado, here are our picks for Week 13, 2012.
Don't forget to play Pick6 this week! We want as many BTBers playing as possible to beat out the other SB Nation communities. Show BTB-pride and play Pick6.
