Dez Bryant Doctor Visit, Josh Brent To Move Off 53-Man Roster, CB Addition

Dallas Cowboys housekeeping moves as we wait for Dez Bryant's status.

US PRESSWIRE

The latest on Dez Bryant: He will visit with team doctors today. I guess after that we may have an answer as to his status for the rest of the year. Apparently, it was the team doctors who first advised Bryant to shut it down for the year. After that Dez visited a hand specialist and is now contemplating playing with the injury heavily padded and in a splint.

But Charean Williams tweets that Dez will see another hand specialist today. So who knows when we'll get a definitive on this.

According to a source, Josh Brent will be placed on the non-football injury list soon, opening up a spot on the 53-man roster. This is to be expected and now the Cowboys have to see if Jay Ratliff will return to the field this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Just don't let Jerry Jones be the one to talk to him about it!

The Cowboys made a roster move, claiming cornerback Michael Coe who had been waived by the Dolphins. To make room for Coe, Dallas waived Vince Agnew. You may remember Coe from the first game against the Giants when Tony Romo exploited a weakened New York secondary that was playing Coe and others because of injuries. Coe adds special teams ability and is insurance for Morris Caliborne this week. Claiborne's status is still unknown after taking a wicked shot to the face in the Bengals game.
