You never quite know how a person or a team is going to respond to a tragedy. WIth the way that Dallas has played in games throughout the season, one can't really discern any difference in how they played this game compared to the rest of the completed portion of their schedule. However the loss of Jerry Brown, Jr. was obviously weighing heavily on the minds and hearts of the Cowboys as they fought against the Cincinnati Bengals and their four-game winning streak.
The Cowboys displayed the mettle and perseverance that they have in their recent stretch of games, again overcoming a big deficit to not only make the game competitive, but also to earn a hard fought, come-from-behind victory for the fourth time in five games.
It wasn't a pretty picture, but it was one that was able to be sketched with playoff possibilities still dangling in the distance. With each win, this overmatched, oft-injured team shows that what they might lack in depth and cohesion they are making up for in grit and determination.
I took to the videotape to review the 20-19 victory. Take a trip with me as we review the game, complete with highlights.
