The Dallas Cowboys have taken another step in fixing up their tortured secondary from a year ago. Calvin Watkins tweets that Dallas has signed safety Brodney Pool.
Brodney Pool has signed with the Cowboys according to Jason Garrett.

Pool spent the last two years with the New York Jets, but probably more importantly played under Rob Ryan in Cleveland in 2009. Watkins also reports that the Cowboys had wanted to sign Pool last year in free agency but were unable to get it done.
Pool had his best season under Ryan in Cleveland when he had four interceptions and 10 pass breakups. The signing of Pool likely means the end of Abram Elam in Dallas as it is expected that Pool would team with Gerald Sensabaugh as the Cowboys new starting safety tandem.
The Cowboys are slowly working through their list of needs in free agency, setting themselves up for acquisition of the best talent available in the upcoming April draft.
