Fans First Week 3: "Fantasy, ATS, O/U, ML... You Name It" Thread

Shuffle Up And Deal, Mr. Romo.
Shuffle Up And Deal, Mr. Romo.

The Cowboys finally get their first early game kickoff of the 2012 season. After spending the first two weeks of the young campaign working the traveling salesman circuit, Dallas finally returns to Arlington (wait, what?) to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and reported bully, head coach Greg Schiano.

Dallas opened the week as a 7-point favorite and that line has shifted to -8 over the course of the week. Dallas has covered the spread in the last three matchups between the teams; 10/26/08 - @Dallas (-1.5) wins by 4, 9/13/09 - @Tampa (-5.5) wins by 13, 12/17/11 @Tampa (-7) wins by 16.

Early in 2012, Tampa is 2-0 ATS while Dallas is 1-1 in two road games. Dallas has been under the total in both of it's games in '12, while Tampa has split; under at home and over on the road.

There's no secret about it, the Dallas offense has had very little problem moving the ball against Tampa over their last few meetings. They've averaged 121.3 yards rushing per game in the last four matchups, while Tony Romo has amassed passer ratings of 148.9, 140.6, and 133.9.

With the Bucs giving up over 400 yards of passing on average for the first two game, one should rightfully expect the Cowboys to have a successful day on offense.

Meanwhile, Dallas' defense has been pretty stingy against the pass; giving up on average 182 yards and only one score to opposing quarterbacks. Another game like that, and Dallas fans should be able to feel extremely confident in the offseason strategy of making major moves to acquire Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne. The defense/ST isn't doing much to produce fantasy points so far this season, however.
