Cowboys Injury Report: DeMarcus Ware, DeMarco Murray, George Selvie Do Not Practice

The Cowboys had their first practice of the week with quite a few starters either missing or limited.

The Dallas Cowboys were fairly healthy a week ago, now they have plenty of banged-up players. The big news on the injury front was the release of Jay Ratliff, apparently his injury was severe enough, and not healing fast enough, for the Cowboys to keep him around any longer.

And the hits keep coming along the defensive line. As expected, DeMrcus Ware did not practice today, but also missing was fellow lineman George Selvie, although he was doing some rehabbing on the side. Selvie has a shoulder injury. Jason Hatcher practiced on a limited basis as he recovers from a neck stinger and Edgar Jones is still out

At running back, both DeMarco Murray and Lance Dunbar sat out. Neither are expected to be ready this weekend although Murray is maintaining the fiction that he might play.

"I am preparing like I am playing this week, the way I'm preparing mentally in the classroom, physically on the field," Murray said after Wednesday's practice. "I am running, doing some good things with [trainer] Britt [Brown]. We haven't said which way, what we're going to do yet. I think it all depends on how comfortable I am. We were able to do some things today and it felt good."

"My intentions are to just work hard and possible do everything I can to play this week. Is that going to happen? I don't know. I am not saying one way or another. But we had a good day (Wednesday) and I am going to continue to do what the trainers tell me to do. We'll see what happens later in the week."

Rounding out the injury report is DeVonte Holloman who was limited with a neck injury.
