Calm down - Dallas Cowboys' season isn't slipping away...yet - David Moore, DMN
Moore writes that the perception that the season is slipping away from the Cowboys is premature, but if the Cowboys lose to the Giants on Sunday, it won't be.
"It’s far from over," Hatcher said. "We just got to rest up, get everybody healthy and approach this thing the right way and we will be OK. My whole thing is just get into the playoffs, get hot and play good football late in December when it really counts."
Dallas Cowboys have a fight on their hands - Gil LeBreton, Star-Telegram
LeBreton writes that while the Eagles and Giants have improved over the last few weeks, the Cowboys seem to have regressed, and a division that once looked like it was the Cowboys' for the taking is now wide open.
Sliding Into Second: With Cowboys Resting On Bye, Eagles Grab Lead In NFC East - Nick Eatman, DallasCowboys.com
Nick Eatman does a reverse Wade Phillips and writes that without playing a game, the Cowboys suffered "a bit of a loss" Sunday, losing ground in the NFC East race as they fall behind Philly with the Giants on their heels, too.
Cowboys fall out of first place after bye week - Clarence Hill, Star-Telegram
Hill writes that while the Cowboys still control their own destiny in the division, their margin for error has severely diminished.

Recent history against Dallas Cowboys coming out of bye week - DMN
The DMN points out that the Cowboys lost their last three games after coming off a bye, but won one the two before that. Make of that what you will.
Jon Beason: If we can beat Cowboys, we'll be 'well on our way' - NJ.com
Beason says there's no question the Giants are back in the race:
"No question," Beason said when asked if the Giants are back in it. "It's just the way the East is shaping up to be this year. ... If you have a chance you should keep playing, keep fighting. It's going to be a big-time game, got the Cowboys rolling into town, high-powered offense, they are going to be rested. It's going to be a big one. If we can get that one we're going to be well on our way."
Antrel Rolle injects a dose of realism:
"We're 4-6, we haven't saved anything yet," he said.
Giants' Pierre-Paul preparing for 'dog fight' against Cowboys - Shawn Ramsey, FSSouthwest
Jason Pierre-Paul and Justin Tuck weigh in on next week's game:
"It's going to be a fight, it's going to be a dog fight, there's going to be a lot of blood spilled out there," Pierre-Paul said.
"I can honestly say that we don't like each other and it shows up on the football field," Tuck said. "So I think it's going to be another one of those drag-out type of games where you get in for four quarter and try to find a way to win it."
Patrick Crayton: Cowboys need a new offensive coordinator - DMN
The DMN has a partial transcript of a KRLD-FM interview with former Cowboys receiver Patrick Crayton, in which Crayton touches on the playcalling, among other things.
"(Jason Garrett) is 8-8 calling plays and 5-5 not calling them. That’s a .500 coach to me. If you want to keep going mediocre, that’s what you’re going to get. I don’t think it really matters (who calls plays) at this point because if you’re going to call the same plays, it doesn’t matter who’s calling them. I don’t think it’s the play-caller. They need an offensive coordinator."
