All Cowboys fans are excited at the prospect of DeMarcus Ware playing on Sunday night. After practicing all week it looks almost certain that Ware will return to the lineup, something the Cowboys need to help hold down Drew Brees and the Saints offense. But that excitement was tempered by the news that Jason Hatcher's status was very much in doubt. Hatcher has been the bedrock of the defensive line, he's been the leader that has held it together. Not to mention, Hatcher is having his best statistical season of his career. After not practicing for two days, Hatcher did return to practice in a limited capacity today.
That's the good news, the bad news is that he is still going to be a game-time decision. In fact, if the game was held today, Hatcher wouldn't play says Jerry Jones. So Cowboys Nation will have to wait until late on Sunday to know if Hatcher is a go. Hatcher's partner in the middle all year long, Nick Hayden, who has practiced on a limited basis this week, did return to the field today and could play. (Although the Star-Telegram claims he wasn't there, both the Morning News and ESPN Say Hayden was participating in practice)
Expected to miss the game are Miles Austin, Morris Claiborne, J.J. Wilcox and DeVonte Holloman.
