On ESPN, Adam Schefter just stated that a source told him Tony Romo has a back injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season.
Cowboys QB Tony Romo has been ruled out the rest of the season due to his back injury, per league source.

[UPDATE: Jason Garrett at his presser said Romo is day-to-day and will receive treatment and they will evaluate if he will play this week. Count me among those that didn't believe that line from Garrett for a moment.]
This is obviously a huge surprise as no one saw this coming. If it turns out to be true, Dallas will have to turn to Kyle Orton for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. DeMarco Murray would become even more important in the scheme for Sunday's game. Orton is a competent backup but he hasn't seen much time this year and hasn't started since 2011.
We'll stay on the story as Bryan Broaddus has a little doubt.
I am hearing that Romo is still at Dr so let's wait to see what Garrett says at 345pm.
