It's been an interesting year, to say the least. Is the SEC's 7-year run of championships coming to an end? Does anyone stand a chance of defeating the juggernaut known as Florida State? Will TMZ have to hire an entire team just to follow Johnny Manziel around now that he's turned 21?
Now that the NFL coaching dominoes have started falling with the forced vacation on Gary Kubiak for putting Matt Schaub back in the game, things will probably get even more interesting. USC took Washington's coach, which in turn took Boise State's coach and Texas' almost-assured opening is going to get plenty of coaches plenty of money just to stay with their current teams; see Mr. Malzhan. And all that is before the NFL possibly comes calling on guys like David Shaw, Art Briles and Kevin Sumlin.
But all that is for the future. In the present stands the best action you are going to see on any one day of the CFB season, now that the major bowls are spread out over what feels like three weeks. Next week, in our final Saturday College Football thread of the season, I'll have our third and final in-season mock draft. This will be the last one before we get to the all-star games and the combine. It is during this time frame when scouts get to finalize their big boards based on film review, and then start to move players up and down based on the new info.
