Don't get defensive, but the Cowboys have a defense problem. Outside of Demarcus Ware, it's been a rare occurrence for the Cowboys to have someone accrue double-digit sacks in a season. Before Anthony Spencer achieved it with his 11 in 2012, nobody had done it since Greg Ellis in 2007. That's a long five years of it being DeMarcus or Die.
Now that the team is transitioning to a 4-3 defense under Monte Kiffin, the sacks are going to almost exclusively come from the defensive line. Kiffin runs a lot of stunts, but blitzing will be featured less than in years before as he attempts to get pressure from the front four.
In that vein, you can expect the Cowboys to address the defensive line at least once on draft day, if not multiple times. I took to the video tape to discuss the team needs in this area, as well as cover a few of the prospects that Dallas might focus on come April 25th. If you have a couple minutes, take a look. Shout out to O.C.C. for the production ratio stats!
