This Is Hardcore: Full List Of All Super Regional Combine Participants At Cowboys Stadium

Cowboys Stadium hosts the Super Regional Combine on April 7-8 and we take a look at the 200+ prospects who'll participate in the event.

Ronald Martinez

The Super Regional Combine is scheduled for April 7-8 at Cowboys Stadium. Similar to the Combine you actually watched earlier this year, this event is now covered by the NFL Network and NFL.com, and for good reason. Last year, more than a quarter of the participants got an NFL contract. It's not the National Combine, but it's not a useless event.

The NFL Regional Combines, hosted throughout the country, serve as a supplement to the NFL’s National Scouting Combine and provide an opportunity for players to display their skills before veteran NFL talent evaluators. "The NFL Regional Combines program provides players – who may not have had the chance before – the opportunity to work out for NFL personnel executives", says NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Ray Anderson. "It allows all 32 clubs a chance to further evaluate future prospects."

The event in Dallas is an invitation-only event, to which standouts from the other NFL Regional Combines are invited. Similar to the National Scouting Combine, invitees will have the opportunity to work out and showcase their talents in front of NFL club scouts and player personnel staff.

Mike Fisher put up the entire list of the participants on Foxsportssouthwest.com, and also offers some helpful hints about what you need to do if you want to try out at a Regional Combine, say as a kicker. For the hardest of the hardcore draftniks among us, here's Fisher's list of participants, listed in alphabetical order:

The Regional Combines are open to players who are eligible for the 2013 NFL Draft but did not attend the National Scouting Combine, players with college playing experience who want to gauge their pro potential and players with some pro playing experience, but who have been out of the game for a period of time.

This explains why players like kicker Delbert Alvarado, who has been on the Cowboys roster twice already, or WR Verran Tucker (briefly on the Cowboys roster in 2010) are participating or why British olympic discus thrower Lawrence Okoye is working out despite never having played a snap of college football.
