We have waited and we have waited. After losing on December 30th, 2012 to the Washington Redskins, we have had zero Dallas Cowboys football games. You can argue whether a preseason game is really a game, but it's good enough for now. After free agency, the draft, OTAs, mini-camps, and now a few weeks of training camp, we finally get the Cowboys padded up and ready to hit against some true opposition.
It's likely we won't see many starters tonight, ESPN Dallas reports that the only starters expected to play tonight are Justin Durant, Tyron Smith, Doug Free and Travis Frederick. Of course, David Arkin and Ronald Leary will go in place of injured guards Mackenzy Bernadeau and Nate Livings.
Regardless, as we've been talking about for days, there are plenty of interesting storylines and position battles that will take place. Outside of that, just be thankful that NFL football is making a return. It's been a long seven months.
