Cowboys 2013 Season: What Is Our Biggest Strength?

When discussing the 2013 edition of the Dallas Cowboys, what would you pinpoint as their greatest strength heading into the season?

James Adams

Lately, I've been doing podcasts and Q&A's with other media outlets and one question almost always comes up, what is the strength of the Cowboys team this year? It's a legitimate question, outsiders want to know where the Cowboys are stacked, and they usually also want to know where we are deficient. So it got me thinking, exactly what is the Cowboys strength going into the season?

A few immediate candidates/areas came to mind. To me, Tony Romo is always a strength of the team. So are the pass-rushing duo of DeMarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer. Sean Lee and Bruce Carter lead a strong linebacking crew, but I'll need to wait and see how they perform over the course of a whole season before I can throw them into a top spot.

So after running through players and units and duos and everything, I came to this conclusion. The strength of this team, at least heading into the season, is the pass-receiving corps. The trio of Dez Bryant, Miles Austin and Jason Witten is almost as good as you can get in the league. The Falcons' Julio Jones, Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez might be a little ahead, but I'd take the Dallas trio against most any other trio in the league. And if Dez Bryant blows up like we think he will this season, it could be bombs away!

But don't take my word for it, we'd like to know what you think the strength of this team is heading into 2013. Hit it up in the comments section.
