Cowboys Injury Report: Anthony Spencer Not At Practice, But It's Not A Setback

Today's injury report contains the strange news of a player missing practice on purpose.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday when Anthony Spencer went through a practice, even though as a limited participant, it was thought to be a good thing. But the real test was whether he could practice today. He couldn't, but it's not a bad thing. The Cowboys and Spencer had planned all along for him to practice Wednesday, then take Thursday off and work with the trainers and come back on Friday. After Friday, the team will have a much better idea if he can play on Sunday and for how long. As of now, Spencer says he's getting ready to play.

Morris Claiborne is still a limited participant in practice.

Both Tony Romo an Dez Bryant practiced again today so we can stop worrying about them all together, they wil play. Lance Dunbar was also a full participant and he says he no longer feels any issue with his foot and is full-speed ahead. Danny McCray didn't have a setback after yesterday either so it's presumed he will play.

Ernie Sims missed practice again today after re-injuring his groin.

For the Chiefs, Jamaal Charles was limited participant in practice.
