Garrett says Cowboys feel good about 'under contract' Callahan and Kiffin, but doesn't promise same roles - Carlos Mendez, Star-Telegram
Bill Callahan and Monte Kiffin will stay with the Cowboys, but Jason Garrett wouldn't promise they would return in the same roles they held last season.
"We’ll keep looking at how we can be better as a staff and what roles everybody’s in and what we’re asking them to do," Garrett said Tuesday at the Senior Bowl. "But those guys are really good football coaches."
"Those guys are under contract. We feel good about that," he said. "We’re always going to try to do things that are in the best interest of our football team. … We’ll keep looking at what everyone’s roles are and however it settles down."

This article appears to simultaneously complain about A) the fact that Garrett's contract hasn't yet been extended, and B) the fact that Garrett is still under contract at all.

Watkins plays through what a scenario could look like in which Garrett does receive an extension:
Garrett however, would have to convince Jones he needs a contract extension during the season. For that to happen, the Cowboys would have to get off to a strong start, but the way things have gone for this franchise, losing in a win-or-go home game the past three seasons, it's doubtful Jones would extend Garrett before the end of the 2014 season.
So Garrett must work under these conditions and hope his team responds to the challenge of reaching the postseason.

Jerry Jones believes DeMarcus Ware could have a better season in 2014 than he had in 2013, and he cites experience, health and Rod Marinelli as main reasons for that belief.
"We should be benefiting from the fact that he’s a veteran player and would know the nuances of conditioning and strengthening and preparing, and then we have Rod Marinelli, arguably the best, I think, the best down lineman coach, or one of the best defensive coaches with a specialization in down linemen that there is," Jones said during a break at the Senior Bowl. "So there’s lots of reasons why DeMarcus Ware could have a lot better year."
