Report: Redskins To Interview Rich Bisaccia For Head Coach Spot

In kind of a surprise move, the Redskins are poking around the Cowboys coaching staff for a head coach candidate.

This certainly came out of the blue - the Washington Redskins are reportedly interviewing Cowboys special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia for their head coach vacancy.

Once you dig a little into the history of the two people involved, Bisaccia and Redskins GM Bruce Allen, the logic behind the interview becomes more clear. Bisaccia has been more than a special teams coordinator along his coaching path, even though that is what he's mainly known for since his special teams are usually very good. They were excellent in Dallas this season. PFT discusses the fact that Bisaccia was an assistant head coach in Tampa when Bruce Allen worked there.

Other candidates the Redskins are reportedly interested in include:

Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott, Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell, Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell and Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell as reported candidates for the job.
