The Dallas Cowboys are on a bye this weekend but that doesn't mean they are not going to practice this week. The Cowboys are practicing today and Thursday, but Jason Garrett said they would be short practices and will really be glorified walk-troughs. Injured players are not expected to do much at these practices, but at the one held today, both Tony Romo and Rolando McClain were dressed. Just because they were dressed doesn't mean they will actually do a lot, but it's good to know they both felt well enough to be there.
Garrett stated that Romo got through the Jaguars game, and the long flight home, without any further problems and that he was feeling relatively good. Based on how Romo looked and threw in the Jags game, and the way he was able to maneuver around in the pocket, he looks like he should have no problem returning to action on the 23rd against the Giants.
Thanks to a very good game from Anthony Hitchens, Rolando McClain was able to sit out the Jags game, giving him some extra time to heal. Based on him dressing today, I'd say the odds are good he dresses against the Giants.
The only two players to sit out today were defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford and cornerback Tyler Patmon. We still don't have any timetable on Crawford's return, but Jerry Jones has said that Patmon will likely miss two to four weeks.
