Cowboys Wednesday Practice Report: Tony Romo Sits Out, So Does Tyrone Crawford, Rolando McClain

The practice reports this week come in a bit early.

So the Dallas Cowboys have already practiced today. Yes, the time change throws everything off the normal schedule, but one thing that remained on the normal schedule was that Tony Romo sat out a Wednesday practice. Of course we all know that nothing is normal with Romo's practice schedule right now, so we'll have to see if he does anything tomorrow. Instead of practicing he spent time getting treatment on his ailing transverse processes at the team hotel. He did go through the Cowboys walkthrough yesterday, check out our report on that from earlier this morning.

Joining Romo in the 'not practicing' category were Tyrone Crawford, Rolando McClain and Nick Hayden. Crawford and McClain are both suffering from sprained MCL's, but Crawford's appears to be the more serious of the two. He stayed back at the team hotel for treatment while McClain traveled to the practice but remained on the sidelines. Nick Hayden hurt his shoulder in the Arizona game so the Cowboys are holding him out of practice.

The positive side of the ledger included the return of both Ron Leary and Doug Free to the practice field. Both were working with the starters and having them back would put the whole offensive line back together. As much as anything, that group has been responsible for the Cowboys offensive success this season, so getting all of them back on the field would be a major boost for Dallas.
